Pauch Privacy Policy

What the extension collects

  • X account identifier from the `twid` cookie.
  • X authorization request headers needed to read your bookmarks from X APIs.
  • Bookmark content and metadata (post ID, text, author, links, media, timestamps, folder assignments).
  • Bookmark/folder change events generated from X GraphQL calls.

How data is used

  • Sync X bookmarks and folders into your Pauch account.
  • Keep bookmark and folder state up to date after X changes.
  • Power search and organization features inside Pauch.

Data sharing

Synced bookmark data is sent only to Pauch backend services. Pauch does not sell extension-collected data.

Storage and retention

  • Browser local storage: auth headers, account ID, and sync cursors.
  • Pauch backend storage: synced bookmarks/folders in your account.
  • Extension error logs are not persisted as telemetry by the extension.
  • If you uninstall the extension, local extension storage is removed by Chrome.
  • If you delete your Pauch account, backend data tied to that account is removed as part of the account deletion workflow.

Your controls

  • You can stop sync by signing out of X or uninstalling Pauch.
  • You can remove bookmarks/folders directly in Pauch.
  • You can request account deletion at support@pauch.app.
